Tell us why you became a teacher

The reason I became a teacher is deeply personal. When my son was in first grade, he struggled in school due to his learning disabilities. As a parent, it was very difficult to watch him feel frustrated and discouraged. I realized that many children face similar challenges, and not all of them have someone who fully understands their needs or knows how to support them effectively. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in education so that I could make a difference in other kiddos like

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences was with a fifth-grade student who struggled with testing and lacked confidence. I encouraged her to focus on growth, telling her that if she earned a 3, she could work hard for a 4. She practiced, stayed determined, and believed in herself. At the end of the year, she ran into my classroom crying with joy because she had earned a 5, the highest score. It was a powerful reminder that confidence, effort, and support can truly change a student’s path.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I can create a positive impact on my family and my students. I can strengthen my family’s financial stability by saving, paying expenses, and investing in my children’s education. For my students, I can provide books, STEM materials, technology, and meaningful learning experiences like field trips. I can also invest in professional development to improve my teaching. This support helps me grow, reduce stress, and create a more engaging, supportive classroom environment where all st
