I love teaching because I get to inspire growth, spark curiosity, and watch students gain confidence every single day.

I became a teacher because I believe education changes lives. I want to create a space where students feel seen, supported, and challenged to grow. Seeing a student gain confidence, master a skill, or discover a passion is incredibly rewarding. Teaching allows me to make a meaningful impact every day by helping young people build the knowledge and resilience they need for the future.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable moments was watching a student who had struggled all year finally understand a concept they once found overwhelming. After weeks of persistence, they solved a problem independently and looked up with pure excitement and pride. The confidence in that moment was transformative—not just academically, but personally. It reminded me that patience, encouragement, and belief in a student can truly change their trajectory.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would expand our agriculture program into a collaborative, community-centered learning hub. Students would work together to manage our greenhouse and school farm, using modern agricultural technology while partnering with local farmers and businesses. Funds would support student-led SAE projects, industry certifications, and service initiatives that give back to our community. This investment would cultivate teamwork, leadership, and real-world skills both in the classroom and community.
