I became a teacher because teaching is my passion and my purpose. I believe education changes lives, and I want every child to feel capable, valued, and loved. My students are my “why.” I love watching their confidence grow, seeing concepts click, and celebrating their progress. More than teaching lessons, I build relationships and create a classroom family where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. I

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching moments was watching my students create blankets and treats to donate to a local nursing home after our community service unit. Seeing them take what they learned and turn it into genuine compassion and action was incredible. Their excitement, empathy, and pride in giving back reminded me that teaching goes far beyond academics, it shapes hearts and builds character.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest in a high-quality, engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. I would purchase sensory tools and calming resources to support students’ emotional regulation, along with flexible, accessible furniture to create an inclusive and comfortable learning environment. My goal would be to build a classroom where every child feels supported, inspired, and set up for success.
