Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher...I was always playing school and teaching other younger children in the neighborhood and ⁰teaching is just in my veins..I met another teacher and we found out we were related...distant cousins on both sides and she revealed to me that historically I come from a long line of teachers and so I believe I have the teaching genes. I have been in other professional fields but I was a clock watcher and was not happy..until I started teaching

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My memorable experience was my first year teaching and my class was an over flow from 2 other kindergarten classes and I got all the behavior challenged students..but I was determined to make a difference..evidently I did make a diffetence because I won outstanding teacher award in Ward 8 in Washington D.C. at the end of the year

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would fund my retirement after a long battle with Infertility I finally got pregnant with twins and I drained my retirement funds to be a stay at home mom to fraternal twin boys...both boys are going into teaching...they are 23 now
