I became a teacher because I knew it would offer the chance to make a lasting, positive impact on students’ lives, and shape future generations, all while enjoying a rewarding career. It provides opportunities for personal growth, creativity & work-life balance.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

All of my most memorable teaching experiences involve fostering the love of reading, helping struggling students reach grade level & seeing students initiate positive change. Defining moments include building trust, and seeing students grow academically & socially.

What would you do with the $25,000?

There are so many resources that are needed for my classroom & blind/visually impaired students. I would place a large order from APH after making my list. I would also love to take my blind students on a field trip of a lifetime. So many of them have not been able to enjoy the things that we take for granted.
