Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to make a difference in the lives of children. Every day is an opportunity to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help students discover their potential. Teaching isn’t always easy, but the moments when a student understands something new or believes in themselves make it all worth it. Helping shape the future, one student at a time, is the greatest reward.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One small teaching moment I’ll never forget was when a student who had been struggling finally raised their hand and said, “I get it now!” It wasn’t a big test or a major lesson—just a quiet moment of understanding. But the pride on their face said everything.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I recieved $25,000 I would first buy some needed supplies for my students. We get materials at the beginning of each year however, there is a lot of poverty in our district. I would love to by more science materials and readers for students to have the opportunity to experience new things!
