Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I was the kid that struggled my way through school. I never gave up. I wanted to help the kids like me. I loving giving back to my community. Making a difference 26 lives at a time is going to be my professional legacy.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable memories was the first time I was able to make a connection with a student tended to struggle. I was able to help and give the emotional support the needed in the mist of a melt down. This experience bonded us and completely changed how I looked at how I need to support my students. It was my first year teaching and I grew so much. Each school year, I become a better teacher thanks to my students.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay off debt and take my family on a long overdue vacation.
