Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The most rewarding part of my career is the 'Aha!' moment. I remember a specific class struggling with a difficult theory; the room was heavy with frustration. I decided to retract the lesson and pivot, translating the abstract into a tangible, evidence-based example. Suddenly, the tension broke. Hearing a chorus of 'Oh, I get it now!' is the most satisfying sound in the world. In that second, the barrier to learning vanished. These moments are so satisfying.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Throw a celebration party for my students. Next, investing in high-quality materials—whether that means a state-of-the-art classroom library, collaborative technology, or specialized hands-on kits—ensures that the impact of this money outlasts the current semester. A portion of this fund would be directed toward my son’s education.The remaining funds would be funneled into the vital work of wildlife rescue and a headstone for my mom’s grave.
