From the time I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I’ve always felt called to help children grow, believe in themselves, and discover their strengths. Teaching is more than a career to me—it’s a commitment to nurturing each child’s potential. I value building trusting relationships with families and ensuring they feel confident their child is cared for, supported, and truly seen every single day.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Teaching preschool during COVID was the most memorable chapter of my career. In a time of uncertainty, I remained committed to excellence—carefully following guidelines while creating a private preschool reopening plan that kept children safe without sacrificing joy or connection. Being recognized for building a thriving, nurturing environment during such a challenging time affirmed my dedication, resilience, and deep love for teaching.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Winning $25,000 would be life-changing. I would pay down my teaching student loans, invest in my daughter’s future, and pour the rest back into my preschool. We desperately need a new floor—the very space where children play, learn, and discover each day. That foundation is more than flooring; it’s where curiosity grows and memories are made. This gift would strengthen both my family’s future and the heart of our classroom.
