I love teaching because there is nothing like the twinkle in a students eye when they have a light bulb moment.

Learn MoreI originally wanted to become a Speech Pathologist because I myself am hearing impaired. Once I graduated one of my friends said you would make a great Special Education Teacher so I did some research applied and here I am in year 27! My students are why I do my job. There is no feeling like seeing a student years later and they still remember you!!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have so many memorable teaching experiences! I remember one day it was a students birthday. We were wishing her happy birthday and another student said, " How can you be born on your birthday"! My co worker and I just looked at each other and just giggled. Another experience was when a young man I taught had a lot of behavior challenges in elementary school invited me to his high school graduation! To see how far he had come was a great feeling!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would take my husband and two boys on a vacation to create more memories together! My family is my everything. I would also donate some to our local animal shelter. My family and I love animals! We have an 11 year old Irish Golden that we spoil rotten!!
