I became a teacher to help students love learning like I did growing up. I was lucky to have teachers who made it fun and positive—I want that for my students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was teaching a group of kindergarteners letter sounds and blending words, then teaching them again in 3rd grade. Hearing them say they remembered learning phonograms with me—and now using those skills to read to learn—was unforgettable.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, I would lift the weight of debt and begin saving for a home. Just as importantly, I’d invest in my classroom, bringing to life the resources and experiences my students deserve.
