I became a teacher to bring creativity to learning and inspire children to embrace their unique sparks. I had many influential teachers bring out my confidence and encourage me to reach my potential, and I aspire to do the same for my students.

I had a student write me a letter telling me they were excited to be in my class. The year prior they were having a difficult time and saw me on my roller skates for a science lesson and it made her happy. It is the small moments like that, that make me glad I became an educator.

I would pour it all back in to my students. I spend a lot of personal funds on food for kids so they don't go hungry, motivational prizes to celebrate their academic and behavior successes, and furniture/decorations to make an enjoyable learning environment for them.
