I became a teacher because ever since I was little, all I remember ever wanting to be was a teacher. I have always loved the idea of helping students learn, grow, and discover their potential. Being able to support, encourage, and make a positive impact in their lives every day is truly meaningful to me and fulfills the dream I’ve had since childhood.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences has been taking my students to Disneyland the past three years. Through fundraising, hard work, we were able to make this opportunity possible together. Seeing their excitement and joy, and knowing that many of them were experiencing something new, was incredibly meaningful. It was more than just a trip—it showed them that there are opportunities beyond what they know and helped build their sense of wonder, curiosity, and belief in what’s possible.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received the $25,000, I would use part of it to pay off some of my student loans, which would ease a financial burden and allow me to focus even more on my students. I would also invest in my school by providing more fun, hands-on learning opportunities and experiences. These activities help students stay engaged, build curiosity, and create meaningful memories that support their academic and personal growth.
