Learn MoreI became a teacher because it has always felt like it was what I was born to do. Teaching is a calling, not just a job. Being a light in a kids day can make all the difference. Teaching middle school specifically, it’s more about teaching the kids to be good human beings as well and learning the content. I truly believe that teachers, especially good ones, can change the world one kid at a time.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience is when one of my students wrote me a letter at the end of the school year unprompted. She expressed how she always felt misunderstood especially by teachers and that she knew that she could be a lot but she truly appreciated our chats and that she felt like I took the time to understand her and never judged her. She said I was the one thing she looked forward to coming to school everyday. I will always remember her.
What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000 I would honestly pay off my students loans. I currently have about $30,000 left. I am also trying to save for a house and having that debt off my plate would be a huge weight off my shoulders.
