I became a teacher because I love working with kids and I believe that learning is a life-long pursuit. What better profession is there than that of a teacher to learn something new everyday!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI worked with a young student who could not read. I was helping him during a summer school session. I was helping him pronounce the letters and put them together to make sounds. I remember when it finally clicked! He was so excited. It was like solving a puzzle. He was able to start putting the words together on his own and pronounce the words on the page.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use it to go and explore different areas to enhance my science background and enhance my educational experience to share with my students.
