I became a Special Education Teacher because of my aunt who clearly had a disability but was not allowed to go to school back in the late 50s early 60s. My brother and I being kids used to tease her. As I grew older being teased, I decided Special Education is where I will give back my energy and time.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience2013 had a 4th grader who could ny read nor write. Myself being Abydos Writing trained, leaned into the curriculum to teach from where the students were to 89% passing on the Writing STAAR Modified.
What would you do with the $25,000?Being a teacher, pay has never been my drive to keep going. So I would use $2500 to fund one self-contained class with the needed manipulatives and materials for each student. The rest i would enjoy paying down some bills and a nice vacation
