Tell us why you became a teacher

My passion for teaching stems from the belief that knowledge's greatest impact is in its dissemination. I strive for continuous personal and professional growth to deliver dynamic learning. My goal is to make complex health concepts digestible, sparking curiosity, not just imparting facts. I teach with values, joy, and passion, I aim to create an engaging environment where students achieve a deeper, more meaningful understanding, becoming key links in societal development.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My teaching career is filled with meaningful moments.One highlight was supporting a visually impaired student by using a 3D printer to create animals, insects, and the alphabet. Watching her explore a butterfly by touch was deeply impactful. I’ve also guided HOSA students through dissections, suturing, and designing animal and plant cells, providing hands-on experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and real world healthcare skills.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I'd invest the money in projects for my students and my classroom, including hospital visits and collaborations with veterinary and SPED classes.It would fund my "closing the gap"project where we empower SPED students; we've already done prosthetics for dogs and helped SPED students.This project designs 3D prints of assistive tech, like braille gadgets, directly helping students reach their full educational potential and creating curiosity in the health field.Help us expand our impact and values
