I became a teacher because I believe education changes the trajectory of a child's life. Growing up, I saw how opportunity and encouragement unlock confidence and potential. I wanted to be the person who notices the quiet student, challenges the capable one, and refuses to let gaps define anyone. Teaching let's me blend structure, data, creativity, and heart while helping students grow academically and in self belief.

My most memorable teaching experience has been the past three years teaching math and watching students who once hated it completely light up with confidence. Seeing them volunteer to "Be the Teacher," stand proudly at the board, lead practice, sing songs, even dance while learning fills my heart. Watching frustration turn into excitement and self belief reminds me that every child can grow succeed, and feel proud of what they can do.

With $25,000, it would truly change my life. I would continue working towards my doctorate to grow as an educator and leader. I would put part towards our home to ease the pressure and give us breathing room. I would also pay back my parents for always stepping in to help with paying for school, and save with my husband as we build our future together.
