I wanted to make a difference in lives of young students. I traveled to Spain in High School and Fell in love with the language and culture.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI walked into class one day ready to teach and one kid said, “You deserve a break. Let me teach today.” I thought he just wanted a free day or was goofing off, but I decided to let him do it. He proceeded to get in front of the class and teach most of the lesson and then looked at me and said, “I think I’ll let you have your job back this is hard work.” I think that day we had a new appreciation for each other.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use some to pay off bills, but I would love to travel to Spanish speaking countries and be immersed in the language and culture. I have only been to Spain and it was an amazing experience but I was too young to appreciate it and truly learn from it.
