Learn MoreI became a teacher with the aspiration to mold young minds and push students to strive to better themselves. I became a teacher to help students build inquisitive minds that are willing and eager to try new things, whether exciting or nerve racking.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences was watching my 5th grade students participate in a dance competition that we had practiced for, for months. We would do "dancing classrooms" twice a week for 45 minutes, and it was extremely rewarding to see all of their hard work pay off. They all had smiles on their faces and couldn't hide how proud they felt about all the work they put in to get to that point. Even students who said, "This is the worst thing ever!!!" At the beginning.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off some of my students loans, and reinvest in the community that I am learning to call home. I am in a new district and could not be more excited about finding my HOME. I would work towards putting together an overnight camp for the 5th grade students as my former district does. This is such an awesome opportunity for these kids and I would love to be able to provide that for these students.
