I became a teacher to guide young adults to be consumers of information, find a joy in reading, and to make them feel “seen”.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere are so many! One of the most recent is when a former student emailed me with her acceptance letter to college, thanking me for my role in her education and success. She was a struggling reader in junior high and we worked hard together to strengthen her reading comprehension and writing skills. It’s moments like these that remind me why I am a teacher.
What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000, I would take the honeymoon I never got to go on and use the rest to donate to our school library and children’s hospital.
