Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience is challenging to claim because each is so specific and close to my heart. Is it the second grade girl who told me “thank you for teaching me how to forgive” or the kindergarten boy who exclaimed, “I want to be an awesomely good teacher like you when I grow up” as he adjusted his ID on dress up day. The beautiful experiences have been watching individuals find the joy in learning and the passion to know more. The science of learning is what it’s about!
What would you do with the $25,000?If I had $25,000 I would first attain endorsement to my teacher certification: ESL- English as a second language and middle school science endorsement. I would also pay for my state principal certification test. Second, buy realia for my classroom and take my school to the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago. I would help build a home sensory room for my 5 year old nephew with the gift of autism. Finally I would donate to an animal shelter, share with my spouse and build a nest egg.
