Tell us why you became a teacher

To change children's live, one at a time! I have been in the environmental field for over 30 years. And coming from a state that was highly contaminated. I thought maybe if I taught children what not to do to protect the environment, maybe that would help. I have learned that not all students learn the same way.That is when I got more involved in exceptional student.Education.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Truthfully, the most memorable experience of my teaching was attending a graduation ceremony and helping the students get dressed and make sure all of their gowns were correct, and the tassels were on the right side and having several students come up to me. Looking at me in tears and saying I would never be here if it was not for you.

What would you do with the $25,000?

As a science teacher, I am allotted a small amount of money that I can spend on my students. If I had funds like that, I would buy more lab equipment.So that my students could learn a lot more.
