I love teaching because I love children. I love helping shape their minds, building their confidence, and ready for the future.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I understand how powerful the right mentor can be in a child’s life. I wanted to be that person who helps students realize their potential and gives them tools to succeed beyond the classroom.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

e of my most memorable moments as a teacher was on picture day when a student was upset because her hair and clothes weren’t clean. She was embarrassed and didn’t want to take her picture. I quickly stepped in, helped fix her hair, and found her some clean clothes so she could feel confident. Seeing her smile afterwards reminded me that being a teacher isn’t just about academics—it’s about caring for the whole child and making sure every student feels seen, supported, and valued.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000, I would use a portion to support my classroom and students by providing supplies, learning resources, and experiences that enhance their education. I would also use some of it to support my family and continue building a stable future for my child while continuing to do the work I love in education.
