I became a teacher to prepare them for the world outside of the bubble that is their school and their town. I want them to be ready for the world I could not comprehend and achieve the success that will make them happy in this world.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOver the past few years I have been receiving many notes and Thank You cards from past students. A recent one explained how they went to college for nursing. But after one year of college she changed her major to Government. She is now on a full scholarship to Law School in California. As she said, my class "changed the direction of my life." Seeing my life's work in the success of my students, being invited to class reunions to hear their achievements has been my greatest reward and motivation.
What would you do with the $25,000?That's a great question. Lol I would donate some to the American Exchange Project to help my students get out of the bubble in which they live. I might update my car and definitely play a few extra rounds of golf.
