I love to see my students succeed and have fun! Students with disabilities make life so much more exciting! I love getting to see them grow!
Thank you for supporting Jerrod Longfellow in this year's competition. Your donations and participation will benefit The Planetary Society in their mission to advance space exploration, inspire discovery, and empower the next generation of innovators.
I became a teacher because I wanted to be a positive male role model for students. Many children grow up without positive men in their lives, and I hope to help fill that gap in a meaningful way. I want my classroom to be a place where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged every day. No matter where they come from or what challenges they face, I want them to know they are valued, capable of success, and truly cared for. My goal is to support them not only academically but as people!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere are lots memorable this about teaching, but the thing that keeps me coming back is when a student really makes a connection. You can just see it click and how they smile and are excited about what they have accomplished! I see this in the classroom and on the football field.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use it to pay off my student loans. Hopefully, I’ll have some left over to help with providing cool classroom space or update gear for football.
