As a single father of three beautiful girls, I carry a deep sense of purpose in being a positive role model—not only for them, but also for the young students in my community. Every day, I strive to show them that their lives have meaning, their voices matter, and that they each have the power to make a difference. I want them to see that success is not distant or unreachable, but something they can relate to and pursue with confidence.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable moment as a teacher is when I run into students I've worked with, applying the skills they learned to secure jobs and raise their children. We often don’t see the full impact of our labor until we witness our students thriving in life. For me, that is the most unforgettable experience as an educator.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would cherish the opportunity to use the funds to pay off the mortgage on the house my father left for our family. This home holds an abundance of sentimental value, as it is where I grew up, filled with memories and love. Now, I have the chance to raise my daughter in the same nurturing environment, surrounded by the warmth and history of our family. It's more than just a house; it's a sanctuary of cherished moments and dreams for the future.
