Tell us why you became a teacher

I decided to become a teacher when I realized that I wanted to make an impact on others lives I have a big heart for kids and love to see them achieve. Once I started, I knew without a doubt that teaching is what I should be doing. I am grateful that I am able to do what I love for a living.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my toughest students I've ever had called me to tell me how well his life had turned out after dealing with so many challenges as he was growing up. He wanted me to know that he repaired relationships with his family and was working. He told me I was his favorite teacher and it was because of my support for him that helped through tough times. That meant the world to me!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would put it towards medical bills and help our boys out financially. I would also love to take them and my husband somewhere special.
