I love teaching because I help students grow in confidence, curiosity, and character—watching “I can’t” turn into “I did it” every day.

I became a teacher because I’ve always loved nurturing children and watching them grow into confident, curious individuals. There is something special about stepping into their world—embracing imagination, creativity, and joy alongside them. Inspired by the teachers who shaped my own life, I strive to be that steady, caring presence for my students, ensuring they always feel seen, valued, and deeply supported.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching moments was watching a student who struggled with confidence finally believe in themselves. After weeks of encouragement, they proudly shared their work with the class. The smile on their face and the applause from their peers was unforgettable. In that moment, I was reminded that teaching is not just about academics—it’s about helping students see their own potential.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I were awarded $25,000, I would invest it back into my classroom through new resources, flexible seating, and meaningful learning experiences for my students. I would also use a portion for personal needs, such as a much-needed trip to recharge or putting it toward a new car. This balance would allow me to return even more energized and continue showing up as my best for my students.
