I became a teacher because I had the best elementary teachers that inspired me to enjoy school, work hard, and “be them” in my future. Those early role models shaped my future and I’m forever grateful for that gift.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experiencePinning down one is extremely difficult. I find the most joy when former students stop in my room in the morning to say hello and those that reach out to me years after being in my class. Those moments mean so much to me because it proves I made an impact on their learning.
What would you do with the $25,000?After purchasing some needed items for my classroom, I would love to set up a scholarship fund to be able to select a student every year until I retire to provide funds for college or a trade school. Me being a part of continuing their education would give me the greatest gift.
