I became a teacher because I love learning. I wanted to guide students in exploring and discovering the world around us.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was during a science lesson we made baking soda volcanoes. Watching the wonderment of my students as they worked together to make their volcanoes erupt. We have several ways to add to the experience which include food coloring and dish soap. They love this experiment and becoming scientists!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use my $25,000 to purchase a few items for my classroom. Some items would be new storage shelves, STEM activities including volcanoes, a new rug and some sensory supplies. I would also use some of the money to travel myself. I would like to rest, recharge and learn about a new place to share with my students.
