Teaching is a chance for me to pass on my passion for Science to students. My goal is for students to leave my class with a curious mindset.

I was a first generation college graduate from my family. It was the teachers who believed in me that got me through and changed my life. I wanted to not only pass on my love of science but also be the inspiration that my teachers were to me. Teaching at a small private school gives me the chance to not only teach, but form relationships with the students and become fully invested in their future and who they become.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceLast year when I won teacher of the year and all my students stood up and cheered for me. I was so proud and honored to have impacted so many in the two years that I had been teaching at this school and I was overwhelmed with the love that I felt that day from my students.
What would you do with the $25,000?I am divorced with two kids and I have always tried to create memorable trips and adventures with them. This has created some debt that I would like to pay off in addition to paying for our big trip this year on an Alaskan Cruise. I know I only have a limited time with them and creating memories that they will have forever has always been very important to me.
