When I was a student, my teachers made the most impact on how I saw myself. I wanted to be part of that magic for kids.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI teach culinary arts, and I had a student who was living in poverty. Her family was reliant on the food bank. She gave a speech at graduation about how I changed her life by teaching her how to be able to use any ingredients she had available. She also shared that she felt seen and cared about in a school where she was often treat less than her peers, because of her disadvantage.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would put it towards my own children's college tuition.
