Learn MoreI became a teacher to pass on the same enthusiasm and inspiration my teachers sparked in me, and to help my students develop a lifelong passion for learning.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most unforgettable teaching experiences was offering students a choice in their final assessment, as it was project-based. A student who typically struggled with tests and classwork blew me away. His presentation was stellar and his pride was infectious it spread to the whole class! (Project featured below π)
What would you do with the $25,000?I recently graduated with my Masters in Educational Leadership. I would use some of the money to pay off my remaining loans. I’d also like to put the money toward launching a district-wide after-school science club, where I’ll design experiments and provide supplies for hands-on learning for students who might not otherwise get those opportunities. I want science to be more than a graded requirement, I want it to be something kids are excited to dive into on their own, outside of the school day!
