I loved learning and had many interests growing up such as crafting, playing sports, playing the piano, studying history, geography, or reading. I believe the best way to share this love or help others find their own passion was through teaching.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI was able to collaborate with our local 4-H program to bring an embryology unit into the classroom. Students tended to eggs, watched them hatch, and then cared for the chicks. Watching the compassion and teaching come alive was such an amazing feeling.
What would you do with the $25,000?My district has moved to very scripted programs and much of it is teacher talk and whole group led. I would love to use this money to gain materials and create hands on experience/discovery opportunities for kids in the classroom
