Connect Tell us why you became a teacher

My aunt was a teacher and I admire that from her, then the influence of my middle school teachers, in high school I was able to replicate the teaching method from my algebra teacher to one of my peers and when he passed the class it was a great personal success to me. In college I was able to do the same with the computer drafting class, I noticed that I was able to help my peers as well. With this in mind I requested to become part of the college faculty thanking care or other classes.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I become a SkillsUSA advisor in the current high school I teach, and during pandemic I was able to offer competitions away from my architectural drafting pathway. This help me to encourage my students to take ownership on their competitions. This help me guide a group of students that archive a SkillsUSA Gold medal in 2024 in Career Pathway Display Business Management and Technology were the students went above and beyond bringing the first gold medal in the history of our school district.

What would you do with the $25,000?

First of all I will use that money to do a family trip to enjoy family time as a way to tell my family thanks for all the support every one of them are been providing to me to become the person that I am today, and on appreciation to my wife that support since the beginning to achieve each and everyone of my teaching achievements like supporting me to achieve my National Board Certified Teacher. I will also use the money to buy a decent used car and for my daughter college fund.
