Learn MoreI had always wanted to but got sidetracked with life. During Covid I got a job as an in-house sub and paraprofessional. Before I knew it i was quickly making my way to becoming a teacher. As a child I had some pretty traumatic teachers and I wanted to make sure no child felt the way I did. Now I work on making a safe space for kids who were like me.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had a student who was homeless during the holidays. He was pretty sad and told me that Christmas was canceled. I decided to do a go fund me for his family. I made a goal of $500 and ended up raising $3000. Not only could I give them everything for a perfect Christmas, but I was also able to give his mother cash, grocery gift cards and get there stuff out of storage as they moved into their new home right before Christmas.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off my student loans and credit cards. I would save some and also throw a huge party for my class and buy books for my students.
