Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because of two people. One was my favorite biology teacher Mrs. Mercer, she showed me how amazing it could be to change the lives of children. The other person is my friend’s special needs sister. Ever since I was younger I wanted to be a special ed teacher and helping in the TLC classroom definitely showed me that u could do it.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

It was my second year teaching and the students wanted to do a coke and mentos experiment. They loved it and seeing the joy on their faces reminded me of why I became a teacher.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I am currently engaged (wedding May 2027) and I would try and pay for my wedding and with the remaining money I would help my family in any way they need. I would also Upgrade my classroom (flexible seating, tech, decor) I would also go back to school for my masters degree
