Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to emulate the incredible mentors I had growing up. After my dad passed away, special teachers and coaches stepped up, offering guidance and support when I needed it most. I wanted the opportunity to be that same positive, stable force in my students' lives. My goal is to ensure every student understands their importance and feels genuinely cared for, as I know many need that connection to thrive.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching moment was having the opportunity to be the guest speaker at last year’s graduation. Those seniors were my first group, and being selected as the guest speaker showed me that my efforts were not wasted. I built critical relationships with that class that will last a lifetime. It was a powerful reminder of why I do what I do and the impact I can have—both in the classroom and on the football field.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win the $25,000, I would pay some of my student loan debt and try to get a vehicle for my wife and me. I think that the money would go a long way for me and my family and would be an absolute blessing.
