Learn MoreI became a teacher because I wanted to be the kind of educator students could learn from beyond academics. I aim to be someone who supports their growth not only intellectually, but personally and socially as well. My goal is to provide high-quality instruction while also creating a space where students feel seen, valued, and encouraged to become their best selves both inside and outside the classroom.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences is watching my kindergartners grow from the beginning of the year to the end. Seeing their confidence build and their skills develop is incredibly rewarding. It’s especially meaningful to help my lower-performing students make strong progress and reach or come close to grade level by the end of the year.
What would you do with the $25,000?If awarded $25,000, I would use part of the funds to help pay for my master’s degree to continue growing as an educator. I would also invest in my classroom by purchasing a smart board to enhance student engagement and support interactive learning, giving my students access to tools that can better meet their needs and improve their overall educational experience.
