I love spending with my many students and being able to share my favorite subjects with them!

I honestly fell into it! I started as a paraprofessional looking for a cantering career and found I LOVED working with students and being in schools! It wasn’t until much later I realized I wanted to become an Art Teacher and have been in that path ever since, it’s been the best decision of my life-second to marrying my husband!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceSeveral years ago, back when I was still a paraprofessional and assisting in a high school history class, a student confided in me that she was considering self harm. I knew that if I could make students feel safe enough to confide in me as a para that I could make an even bigger impact on students as a teacher.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off my remaining tuition balance, so I could continue my art education degree without having to worry about the cost. With the rest I would buy new art supplies for my classroom and organize artist visits from contemporary artist to come and be guest teachers for the day so my students could learn from them and know that they can become artists like them some day.
