Tell us why you became a teacher

I decided to became a teacher after realizing that I had a gift to teach while in college. I was asked to tutor some struggling students and the story began!! The feeling that I got when they actually grasped the concepts was one I wanted to feel everyday. My major changed from general studies to education the next semester.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was when I convinced a young man to come back to school after he had dropped out. When he graduated, he came back and thanked me for believing in him when he didn't believe in himself. Yes! I cried like a baby.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Breathe! Then invest in my "Give a Girl a Prom" outreach directly afterwards. Also, I am responsible for most of the students' activities at my school and I would definitely use some to get a few things done without all the red tape.
