Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I truly want to make a difference in children’s lives. My love for teaching began in high school when I helped in a preschool classroom. From there, I worked in daycare settings and grew even more passionate about education. I believe providing a strong foundation for learning builds confidence and curiosity. Helping students discover their abilities and develop a love for learning inspires me every day.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was helping a very difficult child who had experienced trauma. He struggled with behavior and trust, but I focused on building a safe and consistent environment. Through patience, encouragement, and connection, he slowly began to feel secure. Watching him gain confidence, find success, and begin to enjoy learning was incredibly meaningful and reminded me why I became a teacher.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received $25,000, I would invest a large portion back into my classroom to provide updated resources, hands-on learning materials, and experiences that enrich my students’ education. I would also set aside money for my son’s college fund to help secure his future. Supporting both my students’ success and my child’s educational goals would make a meaningful and lasting impact.
