Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I want to help students learn, grow, and believe in themselves. Teaching allows me to share knowledge while also inspiring curiosity and confidence in young people. I enjoy seeing students understand new ideas, ask questions, and discover their own strengths. Being a teacher means making a positive difference in students’ lives and helping them prepare for their future.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was when a student who had been struggling finally understood a difficult lesson. After working together and trying different ways to explain it, the student’s face lit up with excitement when it finally made sense. Seeing their confidence grow in that moment was incredibly rewarding. It reminded me why teaching is so meaningful—because even small breakthroughs can have a big impact on a student’s confidence and love of learning.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received the $25,000, I would use it to create more opportunities for my students to learn, explore, and grow. I would invest in classroom supplies, technology, and hands-on learning materials that make lessons more engaging and accessible for every student.
