I became a teacher to give back to my students what my teachers gave to me, a love of learning. I struggled in school throughout my education but my teachers helped me learn how to overcome my obstacles and find the right learning strategies that worked for me.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had a student who was not toilet trained and was deadly afraid of noise. Through lots of hard work both from myself and their family. We got him toilet trained and for the first time in his life, he was able to walk past a loud school bus and even riding that bus for field trips.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I got the money I would put some of it into my classroom to increase the amount of flexible sitting for my students and the rest I would to take my family on a trip of a lifetime to Peru for a archaeological trip.
