Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I have a passion for helping others learn and grow. Education has the power to shape lives, and I wanted to be part of that process. As a teacher, I enjoy guiding students, encouraging their curiosity, and helping them build confidence in their abilities. Seeing students understand new ideas and achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding, and that is what inspired me to pursue a career in teaching.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was when I helped a student who was struggling to understand a lesson. At first, the student felt frustrated and lacked confidence. I spent extra time explaining the topic in different ways and encouraged them to keep trying. Eventually, the student understood the concept and was able to complete the task successfully. Seeing the student’s excitement and confidence grow in that moment reminded me why teaching is so meaningful. It showed patience.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received the $25,000, I would use it to help pay off my student loans and graduate school debt. Reducing this financial burden would allow me to focus more on completing my graduate program and achieving my goal of graduating in 2027. It would give me greater stability and peace of mind, allowing me to dedicate more time and energy to my professional growth as an educator and to supporting my students in the classroom.
