I love the mix of personalities and the way we work together. Watching students grow and be proud of their work is the greatest part.

I became a teacher because being a positive role model for children is important to who I am. I did not start my career in teaching right our of college, instead I really felt the calling later and went back and would not have it any other way.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI currently teach Fourth grade. They think they rule the school and are so old, however when their personalities continue to show glimpses of the brand new excitement, it makes it all worth it. We hatch chicken eggs for a science project in the spring and watching the students be so curious, excited, and involved in the whole process makes me remember why I chose this career. The whole school watches the eggs and the excitement on hatch days is palpable.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would likely use the $25,000 to take more classes and buy more supplies for my classroom and school.
