Teaching is hard! Making a difference in people has to be hard! Showing small humans how they can make a difference in others is even harder, but it’s worth it! I show up with a purpose to guide my students to not shy away from hard things, to always be kind and respectful, and work through things with me by their side, no matter what! As cliché as it sounds, teaching gives me the chance to truly shape minds and hearts!

Teaching the same group of students from 3rd to 5th grade and then sending them off to middle school! They were my family and their families were my family! There were so many tears on the elementary graduation day! I still speak with many of them today!

While I am a teacher, I’m also just a mom trying to survive! If I were to receive 25,000, I know I would support my family in all the best ways possible with the money while it lasted. There are always so many needs that pop up at the most inconvenient times. It would be wonderful to be able to provide what they need, when they need it!
