Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe in the potential of every child. Watching students succeed, gain confidence, and take pride in themselves is incredibly rewarding. Every student deserves someone who believes in them, and I want to be that person. I strive to support, encourage, and help students grow so they see their own value and realize what they are capable of achieving.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences came as a coach at a state powerlifting meet. After missing her first two attempts, my athlete faced her final lift—make it and win, or lose it all. She dug deep, trusted herself, and succeeded. The moment she realized she had won was unforgettable. Her joy, pride, and resilience reminded me why I teach and coach—to help students believe in themselves.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest in my family’s future. I would likely save or contribute toward my children’s college education, helping ease their financial burden. I would also consider continuing my own education by pursuing a doctorate, allowing me to grow professionally and better serve my students.
