Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I have the drive to making a last impact on the world by spreading knowledge, using kindness, & just have a passion for shaping young minds. My teachers K-5 were the spark that ignited my natural passion for teaching.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I had the privilege of work with a student who was in foster care in just my second year of teaching. He left a long last impact on me & gave me daily reminders that our gratitude can be for the little things. His sweet nature & perseverance through hardship was inspiring. Watching him grow was a privilege.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would be able to donate a large amount to my little title one school that deserves so much more than it’s given and represented. & would use the rest to help pay off part of my students loans that take a toll on my monthly pay checks.
